On January 1st, I (like many) draw up a list of New Years resolutions; lose weight, get fit, drink less….. Ah….Then in jumps winters legacy. The rain, snow and dark days see my resolve weaken, aren’t most New Years resolutions doomed? Well I do tell a lie, this year I have kept up my resolution to get fit, and I am well on that path!
After months of gloom spring’s light is beginning to shine, and life is beginning to look different. Energized I am propelled me into a frenzy of spring cleaning, dusting out cobwebs and planning a lick of paint here and a lick of paint there. Sun shining through dirty windows has that effect on me! Suddenly my clothes look drab and wintery and I anticipate some retail therapy on the horizon!
Across the road from my home sits a park and this past month has seen the emergence of a Boot Camp. Participants jog, stretch and enjoy the great outdoors (instead of the gym). The first buds spring to life in my garden and nurture my newfound sense of optimism! Nature is a brilliant teacher, if she can to it so can I! But how can I sustain this energy long enough to spring clean the dustiest part of my body? A.K.A. my brain? I’m no spring chick (groan) and have been known to mix up the odd word, (Dr. O. can concur)! But enough I digress. My friend Tori Deaux has the answer…spring cleaning for my brain with her BrainFitness Boot Camp
I thought I’d give it a whirl, just – well… just because it’s spring. I’ll let you know how it goes. If like me you’d like to spring clean your brain wander on over to Mind Tweaks where Tori explains, far better that I can, what its all about 😉 —- post by Kathy
