I had a dream 2 nights ago, not an unremarkable feat you might comment. On awakening I was struck by the vivid memory of the dream, I was purchasing fabric ( to make a prom dress), but I digress…. the colours of the fabric , the detail and especially the scarlet red shoes that I chose to complete my “look” are what stuck with me on waking! So, in light of the fact that I was a child who grew up with black & white TV , the following feature in New Scientist  particularly caught my eye.
