This year’s October Awareness Campaign is more exciting and dynamic than ever before. One of the highlights is the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario’s first webcast radio show, “SSO AWARE” – which can be downloaded from the home page of this site. Topics of the program include: addressing issues of stigma and discrimination, as well as a panel discussion on Access to Treatment in Ontario.
Another innovative project being launched for October is our Strengthening Families Together (SFT) Online Program. SFT is a 10 module workshop for families that covers issues such as how to navigate the health care system; how to take care of a loved one who may be suffering from schizophrenia; as well as a helpful introduction to mental illness and schizophrenia.
